The LAX Landside Access Modernization Program ("Project") comprises four key elements: an elevated, 2.25-mile Automated People Mover (APM); Two Intermodal Transportation Facilities (ITF) with parking areas for various transportation options; a Consolidated Rental Car facility (ConRAC) consolidating rental car agencies; and a comprehensive series of roadway and utility improvements to reduce congestion around the airport. This system will also connect LAX with the proposed Airport Metro Connector (AMC) 96th Street Transit Station at 96th Street/Aviation Boulevard.
